Welcome to one of the world’s most unique music festivals! Held annually in historic Charleston, South Carolina, the Taylor Music Festival distinctively combines musical performance with education and instruction in the classical and folk genres into one unified festival, bringing an array of musicians to the Charleston area for 5 days of world-class musical activity, including evening concerts, individual instruction, workshops, lectures, and master classes. The Taylor Music Festival features many of North America’s and Europe’s finest classical and folk instrumental artists, instructors, and composersall of whom are experienced in a wide variety of musical styles and disciplines.
Sponsored by the Taylor Music Group, the Taylor Music Festival is designed for children and adults of all ages and skill levels. You may participate during the day in either the Suzuki Institute, the Celtic Institute, or vocal/violin classes. In the afternoon, participate in jam sessions, attend lectures, or simply sightsee in one of America’s favorite tourist destinations. In the evenings, take in the Taylor Music Festival Concert Series, featuring our teaching faculty and the festival’s flagship ensembles Na Fidleiri and the Taylor Festival Choir.
