Shelby Krallman

Soprano Shelby Krallman has been noted for her “velvety” voice. Originally from Clanton, AL, she now lives in Charleston, SC, with her husband, Rob, and their dog, Drake. Shelby received her undergraduate degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Voice from Charleston Southern University. While at Charleston Southern, Shelby performed with the university’s top ensemble, The Concert Singers, where she traveled and performed in New York City, Budapest, Hungary, and Vienna, Austria. Shelby has performed in opera productions of Dido & Aeneas and the original operetta: Ruth as Orpah. In the musical theatre world, Shelby has participated in productions of West Side Story, She Loves Me, and the original musical You’ve Got to be Carefully Taught. Shelby enjoys performing professionally in the Charleston area. She has performed as a soloist with the Charleston Jazz Orchestra, The Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, The Low Country Voices, The Singers of Summerville, and Charleston Pops! Rock. She is currently working as the Choir Director and Piano instructor at Alston Middle School but was previously at Palmetto Scholars Academy, where her middle school choir program consistently earned superior ratings at state assessment. She is a staff singer and the assistant Choir Director at Bethany United Methodist Church in Summerville, SC. She is so excited to be on the Taylor Festival Choir roster this season!
